Rise Strong Program – Services Guide

The Rise Strong Program is designed to address the needs of individuals entering the workforce who may encounter challenges related to self-esteem. The Rise Strong Program is dedicated to supporting participants by offering psychoeducation, with a particular emphasis on self-esteem and its impact on employment opportunities.

Led by practitioners with extensive experience, the Rise Strong Program adopts a therapeutic, person-centred approach. This approach fosters a nurturing environment encouraging both personal and professional development. Participants will benefit from engaging in sessions that not only enhance their understanding of self-esteem but also provide practical strategies such as thought challenging, resilience building, and goal setting. These strategies are aimed at cultivating healthy self-esteem, thus paving the way for a rewarding career pathway.

What is Covered?

  • Engage in targeted skill-building strategies.
  • Overcome the challenge of self-esteem concerning employment prospects and job performance, supported by the guidance of experienced practitioners within The Rise Strong Program.

Self-Empowerment Approach

  1. Involving participants in self-reflective exercises. Engaging in self-reflection cultivates awareness regarding their positive attributes, negative thought patterns, and self-dialogue.
  2. Building Resilience. Strengthening resilience by equipping participants with tools and strategies to cultivate and maintain resilience, thereby enabling them to rebound effectively when faced with challenges.
  3. Goal Setting. Facilitating goal setting by educating clients on establishing achievable goals. Setting goals empowers participants to progress towards their aspirations concerning self-esteem and employment.
  4. The Rise Strong Program The Program will comprise three individual sessions, participants will have the opportunity to engage in a fourth session prior to, or shortly after the commencement of employment. Each individual session will encompass the following components:
  5. Engagement and Consent + Initial Assessment. At Empowered Minds we prioritise the ongoing asset of Informed Consent and Consent to Share Information. This essential procedure guarantees that participants possess a comprehensive understanding of the proposed health interventions, empowering them to autonomously make informed decisions regarding their care. It encompasses clearly portraying the considerations of confidentiality and the precise circumstances under which client information might be disclosed, thereby cultivating an atmosphere of openness and reliability.
  6. The Concept of Self-Esteem and its impact on employment prospects and job performance. This session will provide clients the opportunity to delve into the concept of self-esteem, gaining insights into its significance in securing employment and sustaining job performance.
  7. Practical strategies to address the challenge of self-esteem, fostering a rewarding career pathway. This session will emphasise the application of practical techniques such as identifying positive attributes, confronting negative thoughts and self-dialogue, nurturing resilience, and establishing tailored, achievable goals. Participants will collaborate with practitioners who will offer personalised support and guidance tailored to their individual circumstances.
  8. Progress Monitoring, conclusion, and feedback integration. Upon conclusion of the last session, the Rise Strong Program team will assemble a Program Recap. This recap will be shared to appropriate members of the Workforce Australia team, subject to participant consent, and will outline the participant’s advancements in crucial domains, including:
    • Strides made toward employment and educational objectives.
    • Strengthening of personal attributes, adaptable skills, and sources of motivation.
    • Consistency with and progressions in the Support Plan.

A Certificate of Participation is provided to all participants who complete the Rise Strong program.
